Ackadia is a huge help-file for my family, friends and any and all visitors. It is updated as often as I can and will eventually hold over 10,000 pages of information.
If any of my links are broken or start with pop-ups and "inappropriate" adverts please let me know and I'll remove them instantly. Ta!
Update 8th July 2003
Time for my annual overhaul, please bear with be, this will take a few weeks!
I'm moving all the code from HTML 4.01 to XMHTL v1.0 and making it cross platform browser friendly. After a lot of thought and playing around I have decided to bite the bullet and will also move all the pages to PHP. Although all the broken links will result in beggering up the search engines a tad short term it will make the site far more manageable. Generally I'm just renaming .hmtl to .php although I may rename a few pages if this makes sense. That done I can concentrate on putting in a serious number of updates.
"Here you will find all the information you need to setup and maintain your own webserver at home or office on your DSL or Cable connection. If you already have DSL or a Cable modem, you already have most of the necessary equipment; all you need to do is set it up."
This place covers everything, from the 101 step-by-step setup onwards, complete with detailed diagrams and layouts. I've been meaning to do this for years. Maybe I will round to it one day, with this place to prompt me!
The above is still my link of the month on account I've yet to find another better. That said, especially used with the above, this might make a few of you sit up: 2Mb/s 1:1 leased line with full SLA for a mere £500 a month.
Tempting eh! Give Easynet's SureStream a look over.
