The same model, with the same warranty, direct from the manufacturer, is a staggering £1,608.85
Notwithstanding a global recession, even the biggest corparates would, or at least should balk at the idea of handing out a 60% markup with nothing in return. In the past I have haggled with them and got a price match. According to the sales rep I spoke to, the stance now appears to be, that’s the price, take it or leave it.
