I have masses of technical information filed away if needed, but the links below, notably Curt's site, can readily supply this.
That said, apart from the fax usefullness, dial-up modems are largely being made obsolete in favour of broadband so it's unlikely I'll ever update this page again. That said, if you need help, you only need to ask...

Credit were credits due!
My horror story re Dynamode (Dynalink) Modems (made by Askey Computer Corporation)
(Years ago) I got a V1456VQH modem from my supplier - boxed as 33.6k and rebadged as "Super speed 56k bps" and "Flash Memory". Only the available memory upgrades
did not recognise the modem. The, supplier was also unable to help, so I approached the UK manufacturer/distributer direct.
The response?
We didn't supply *you*, it's not our problem!
Then directed me to a premium rate number that *may* be able to help - without even asking what the problem was. It was proving cheaper to bin the modem and buy another
brand than get help or support with a genuine fault.
If this level of support is typical of this vendor, I firmly recommend you look elsewhere for your products.

In the end the store I bought it from swapped it (under warranty) for a KTX and swore never to sell that brand again. Incidentally, the computer store in question (once a customer of mine) is now a large trade supplier...
