COMPUTER HARDWARE MANUFACTURERS

This will be moved to a far, far larger database as some as I have the time to spare!

INPUT DEVICES
[Δ]

This is cheating a bit as it's a catch all for mice, keyboards, digiters, joysticks etc etc. Most of these have been or will be moved to there own sections, I mean, come on, who looks for an "input device" !

Out of interest, I found this link to the US Dept. of Health on Alternative keyboards - design and ergonomics.

Another government site covered workstation ergonomics. Actually, I think I'll create a section for ergomonics, especially given the warning tingles I'm getting in my left hand!

Creative Labs Prodikeys 104 key cum midi keyboard. Rather well rated. Might buy one myself.
Creative Vision Technologies, Inc. "The best keyboard you can get today is the Avant Stellar by Creative Vision Technologies. This five pound keyboard uses mechanical, Alps-style keyboard mechanisms for all the keys, resulting in an audible, tactile click. Those of you who may remember the old Northgate Omnikey keyboards will feel right at home with the Avant Stellar. At $189, it had better be the best keyboard around."

Can't remember who to attribute that quote too, but it is echoed by several other reliable sources. This beasty has more function buttons than enough. The Avant Prime version is a (still programmable) 104 key for a more palatable $149. I'm gonna source one and see what I think. Smiley Smile!

WooHoo! I stuck gold!
These guys make - and can repair - keyboards, but more importantly, they still sell the old IBM 101 keyboards. Remember the chunky one with the long coiled PS2 cord that plugs into the keyboard? Sigh!

Apparently Unicomp purchased keyboard technology from Lexmark International in 1996 and it was Lexmark that manufactured the high quality keyboards for IBM computers and terminals prior to that.
Primax Scanners, speakers, game controllers, mice.
Safetype Originally called Ergonomic-Interface Keyboard Systems, Inc., they have changed their name to a more catchy "Safetype Inc.   Their sole product (?) is a wing shaped ergonomic keyboard which they appear to have spend a whole decade designing and running user trials before releasing it.
