See also the Memory page

CTS Computer Technology System Corp. was established in 1991.
According to Frosty Tech there mfr labels are TONICOM, ACTCTS and ACTRAM I'm darned if I can find their home page, though their products are detailed in allproducts.com
I couldn't even find them at Computex

Given that the only details I can find refer to EDO SIMM's and old FX/HX motherboards it's a safe bet these are history.
Apacer Ram Apacer Technology Inc.
They also make flash card, embedded card readers and other USB storage devices
Centon Centon Electronics Inc. is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of highend memory solutions.
Century "Century Microelectronics is a large volume manufacturer of high quality (Made in Japan) Dram modules. By focusing only on Dram memory, Century has built a solid foundation thereby earning a premier "Name Brand" reputation."
Corsair Corsair Logo Corsair Memory, Inc.

Seriously good memory, especially the TWINX Dual Channel memory kits
Crucial Crucial Technology Europe - Part of Micron
Cypress Lots of products, especially the embedded variety
Memory includes Async SRAMs, SRAMs and MRAMs
Elpida DDR-II's up to 1Gb lined up. Soon, eh, soon!
[ www.esmt.com.tw] EliteMT Ram Elite Semiconductor Memory Technology Inc.

Site was down, May 2005

Memory is "just" that long stick there, yer?

I "just" read through Elite's 48 page product brochure for 128Mb DDR / DDR-II DIMM's (Product number M13L128168A-4T/5T)

There is no "just" in those sentences. Read it and you'll see what I mean. Meaty stuff.
Enhanced Ram Enhanced Memory Systems Inc.

"Enhanced Memory Systems high-density SRAM products use patented one-transistor Enhanced SRAM (ESRAM) that delivers four times higher density than other SRAMs as well as lower price-per-bit and power consumption. "
Fujitsu Ram Fujitsu ltd.
Galvantech Cypress to acquired specialty SRAM maker Galvantech for undisclosed in November of 2000
GeIl® Golden Empire Int. Ltd

I've read a few good reviews and get serious kudos for the care they take over packaging.

They even sell 466Mhz PC3700 DDR's!!!

GeIL PC3700 466MHz DDR Platinum Series
GeIL PC3700 466MHz DDR SDRAM, Manufacture Direct Hand Picked 4ns GeIL GL2000 Chips with Tin Coated Platinum Copper Heat Spreader and Clear Neon Green Acrylic Case. 6 Layer PCB, 184pin, 32x8 Low Denisty, Unbuffered, CAS 2.5 7-3-3 2T @ PC3700 466MHz Lifetime Warranty. Available in 256MB/512MB Module

If you think you are good even, they are looking for distributers at the minute too (April 2003)
Hitachi Ram May 2005: Not sure if they are actively making memory chips now, though they still have a massive catalog.

Effective April 1st, 2003 Hitachi Semiconductor America has merged with the system LSI operations of Mitsubishi Electric U.S and create Renesas Technology America, Inc.
Hynix
Hynix Semiconductor Inc.

I thought there were part of Micron but according the the website they merged with LG Semiconductor in 1999 to become the world's largest DRAM producer
Hyundai Was www.hea.com.tw
I gave up after a while. Took me ten ruddy minutes just to find Hyundai cars!
Maybe they pulled out of the market? I dunno to get honest, I got bored with all the coming and goings and cries of foul play from all the memory magnates.
IDT Products SRAM's, embedded processors etc. They also used to produced x86 processors, but that was a few years back.
Infinion Infineon Technologies AG

Lots and lots of products, all the way up to:

1Gb DDR-II
  • Part No.:HYB18T1G402AF-3.7
  • Desc. 1Gb (256Mx4) DDR2 533 4-4-4
  • Available 4Q03

Darn, I've drooled down my t-shirt!
JEDEC The guys that sort the standards
J.tec Can't find another further on these other than a mention and chip picture over at Frosty Tech
Kingmax Can't find a URL for these.
Kingston Overpriced I've always thought, but reliable, yep.
LD Can't find another further on these other than a mention and chip picture over at Frosty Tech
MagicRAM PC cards and SRAM etc.
Micro Memory "Micro Memory is the leading provider of large density, high-speed memory buffers"
Not your average RIMM's and DIMM's...
Micron Technology "Micron Technology, Inc., is one of the world's leading providers of advanced semiconductor solutions. Micron’s DRAM and Flash components are used in today’s most advanced computing, networking, and communications products, including computers, workstations, servers, cell phones, wireless devices, digital cameras, and gaming systems. Micron also provides CMOS image sensor solutions to the handset camera, digital still camera, and PC video camera markets."

Marketing retoric aside, you can't really go wrong with the major memory manufacturers.
Mitsubishi RAM Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics Inc.)

Apparently we can cross these of future memory lists! There's a note there reading:

"No standard DRAM products will be available for purchase from Mitsubishi Electric Corporation or its subsidiaries after the end of March 2003"

Mosel Vitelic Corporation Mosel Vitelic, Corp. - The Memory Specialists

If you like details, you'll love these guys. I read one of the product brochures for PC2700 DDR's - 14 pages of in-depth breakdowns. Amazing. The site has since moved (to mvc.com) and seems strangley quiet, the last update being in 2004.
Motorola Better known for their Mac chip and mobile phones, eh. The DDR memory lines are discontinued and consigned to archives now
Mushkin Mushkin Enhanced Memory Systems - Nice range.
Even have a motherboard compatibility page for the 1Gb PC2700 DDR's
Nanya Ram Nanya Technology Corp.
A decent range of memory products listed
NCP Ram Made my Hexon Technology - Asia's leading memory manufacturer and distributer
They also make flash memory and card readers, amongst other technologies.

OCZ Enhanced Latency PC-3700 is the best performing DDR memory on the market. Period."

"* Based on single module load at 2.8 volts +/- 5% DIMM Voltage. Some newer chipsets/motherboards may allow other timings (Some KT400 based boards allow up to CL2 484 2T timings at 466Mhz some 845e boards allow up to CL2 373 466Mhz.).Due to chipset and motherboard differences on a non JEDEC standard product Make sure to check our motherboard qualification page for the exact information for your motherboard. OCZ EL DDR modules are rated to handle up to 2.8 volts with heatspreader installed."

OKI Ram Oki Semiconductor
They have a lot of products but I think they have fully pulled out of mainstream memory now.

Rambus 100% premium over similar technologies. Dream on, not from my wallet!
Samsung If I recalls, they are the foremost in DDR3 memory too.
Samsung have a Flash-based DDR2 presentation too.

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. sell seriously reliable memory.

Samsung memory is invariably at the cutting edge for research too.
For example, in March of this year (2003) they announced mass production of DDR2 with the industry’s first 1 GigaByte DDR2 DIMM's
Semicon Ram LG Semicon Corp.
If LG still make memory, it's well buried. Doesn't help the Lucky Goldstar (as they used to be known) have let the memory domains I knew lapse into oblivion...
