Crash course in UNIX syntax
Do you know how to list the files in a directory? In Windows, you open the folder (directory); in DOS, just enter the DIR command. But how do you list the files in a directory under UNIX?
If you've never used UNIX but would like to learn more about it, spend some time reading the UNIX Tutorial for Beginners published by the Electronic Engineering Department at Surrey University
