Intro

Programming

There's no way you'd call me a programmer, but I was doing Assembler in the 70's and 80's, BASIC and COBOL in the 80's and 90's, then it was C / C++ and VBasic. And in the new millenium? I learnt a little Pascal! What a lousy language that is...

Anyway, I'm the tender age of 40 in the morning (no, really!) and I'm at one of those turning points in your life were you say "Beggar this for a game of soldiers, I'm off"

I am happinest building and fixing systems but I do enjoy programming when I can be bothered. So, for the next forty years, shall I network? Program? What? Who can say, but it's a safe bet that I'll do some of the above. Besides, my children want to be programmers when they grow up so these pages will prove useful to them if they feel the same in the future.

Enjoy!

Menu and masses of links and material to follow over the next few week, month, years...

If it look a tad barren now, don't blame me entirely. Nearly all the links and places I knew are broken and the few remaining redirect to alternative sites selling programming tools and add-ons. As it grows it will, naturally enough, be broken into separate pages.

If you are looking for Java, XML etc look under the HTML / Internet section...

"This page is dedicated to programming and other technical information about the PCI & AGP Busses. This is information that you CANNOT get for free from the PCI SIG; they want to charge you exorbitant amounts of money for the information. Everything you see here is the result of the hard work of many independent persons who have learnt PCI the hard way - without any 'official' documentation."
