Introduction

I learnt a little Italian a few years ago. The debt collection agency I used were Italian so I picked up a bit when they were arguing with each other. Luckily I forgot all that. Ahem! . … I also had a customer in Milan, so it was polite to learn a little.

As I say, I've long since forget it all, but I find all the 'romantic' languages are similar enough that if you can learn one, you can learn them all. All down to the Latin roots, I guess.

  While not as extensive as some of the other BBC language section, it's still enough for most people.
  Can't recommend it enough!
