Introduction

The Internet perhaps isn't the best place for crosswords, but I'll put this up anyway. The grid below was originally a HTML table but, like the image itself, doesn't resize well across all display medium, so I've hacked at it.

I used to love crosswords - both completing and designing - and used to write them for magazines. I even wrote scores of them for Mensa SIG's and for Mensa, covering topics are diverse as politics and chess. If only as a permanent record I will probably type them up and copy them all here.

When I remember I will review a number of books useful for crosswords and puzzles and point to web sites of interest to crossword puzzle makes and crossword solvers. Googling 'crossword puzzle dictionary' throws up over 400,000 results and even at a glance there's some great resources out there.
