Introduction
When a creature dies in Guild Wars it can drop one of four things…
- Gold, obviously
- Weapons
- Armor - note: however, as armor is player specific this can only be sold as it, or salvaged for components, or runes. You can only wear armor custom made for you. (by armorers - or by collectors)
- Or it will drop an item unique to that type of creature…
… and no matter what it drops, someone will be waiting nearby to trade you for it. A great example with the release of Factions is 'Mantid Pincers' dropped in the starting area. These can be traded for identification or salvage kits, amongst other items. If you need chitin fragments for new clothes from an armourer you can even use the traded kit to turn the pincers into chitin fraqments.
Still got a great deal of work to do on these… One thing I will do, which is probably more useful in any case, is great it down into the main items - best fire wand, best spawning staff, best shield, etc. You'll be surprised at just how good some of them are!
