Experience Titles
Experience titles are granted for the number experience points your character can accumulate - without dying.
- Survivor: 140,600 experience points.
- Indomitable Survivor: 587,500 experience points.
- Legendary Survivor: 1,337,500 experience points.
Type /deaths in the Chat window and you'll see what I mean.
If the count is 1 or higher then you can't get this title, ever. (If? Ha!)
Never really bothered before as it's far to late for my main character to try, but for the heck of it I'm getting the title on my newly created Mesmer.
It's not actually hard a hard title to gain, it just takes patience, planning and common sense. You just have to remember this is a one shot deal. You die once, ever, while trying to reach the third level that's it, over. If you make one of the titles you will keep it, but really, start afresh! So…
DO NOT EVER :
- explore or go on mission if you are tired.
It is so easy to misjudge running away, ground spawing hostiles, traps and other risks normally - if you are not focusing 100 percent, then you are highly likely to die! - leave the computer while exploring.
You are safe right up to the moment a wandering patrol wipes out your party. - go out without at least one monk you trust with your life!
Ideally, for me, it will be a monk Hero optimised to keep you alive. At the very least a close friend you know is good, really good at monking. - leave you computer for any length of time while logged in, even in a town.
Friends, relatives, your children might just wander over and try the game. Guaranteed to ruin your day - walking back in and see your Survivor at a resurrection shrine while someone utters the immortal excuse:I was just…
- go out exploring or on missions with Pugs
You are relying on the fact the people you have never met before will take care, will not leave at a bad moment, will not go AFK, will not do something stupid like draw huge numbers of mobs to your party while you are still recovering the last battle, … - explore new areas!
If you do not know the area well there is always a very high risk of criss-crossing patrol, traps and spawning creatures will ruin your day completely. - leave healing, fleeing or map jumping back to town until the last moment.
- explore with your Survivor character is you are suffering a bad connection and/or any noticeably lag. If the ping rate is bad enough you can be dead and resurrected again and not even realise it!
- pay someone to powerlevel you.
There is no honour, nor sense of achievement with this.
ALWAYS :
- Buy the best armor and weapons available or that you can afford - and equip the best Vigor rune you possibly can. It doesn't have to be the 30k Supreme Vigor, but any edge you can get you increases your chance of success.
- Apply the above to your Heroes, if you have them.
- Have the maximum number in the party, with ideally two or three healers.
- Hang towards the back if you can, and be ready to run away if you can't.
- Remember there are attacks and spell than can kill you in an instant, despite or even because of enchantments - especially when a high level boss is casting it. You need to avoid places and bosses like that at all costs.
- Try to get all you experience from quests rather than exploring and killing mobs. Far safer that way.
- (If your territory has favour) pray at resurrection shrines and pay for the avatars blessing.
Type /kneel to summon them. - consider using experience scrolls to maximise your gains from kills and speed up the process.
