12 October 2006: Released, at last
*** Diary index ***
Freedom! After another test!
Notes are blank for today, but that probably because I was busy packing my stuff…
My team of doctors were doing the rounds, got to me and said, effectively:
Errr, Paul, what are you still doing here?
Urology won't release me without piddling in a bucket* and thus can't seem to organise it, so I am tying up a hospital bed for no reason…
Are you taking the…
Well, someone has to, 'cos they sure ain't!
*[ Flow Rate Residual Scan ]
Anyway, they sorted the FRRS for mid-morning. No doctors, no surgeons, just involved me piddling in a tub and taking the nurse on the ward a printout. That and a simple two minute ultrasound scan by another nurse. Pttt!
The atrocious food aside (and the odd other grumble) I was greatly impressed with the hospital but I was getting really fed up after all those weeks…
All packed, I dropped off a thank you card and a huge tin of chocolates for the doctors, nurses and ancilliary staff and made my escape.
WooHoo!
