Friday, 8th September 2006: Probed by urology!

Urology do like their rubber gloves!
I'm not sure about the scales involved, but my prostrate is enlarged, over 4.4, instead of the 2.1 more typical for someone my age. It seems I have the prostrate of a 65 year old man. However, there does not seem to be a blockage in my plumbing, so to speak. He's not sure at this point, but it is possible that it's down to a weakness in the valves in my kidneys, possibly as a result/complication from the spastic paraparesis I also have.
It is also possible, but very unlikely, that there are obstructions near both kidneys that have been missed (three times).
[ Actually it was/is, it eventually turned out both my ureters had collapsed ].
So, keeping this rotten catheter in a bit longer and have been scheduled for another ultrasound and an MRI scan on Monday.
Ah! Oh, aye, yes, I was probed again! Being very thorough, I have to say!
Seen again by my three renal doctors. Essentially everyone is waiting for Monday or Tuesday to see if the slight improvements in kidney size and in blood results continue to self heal.
