12th September 2006: Neurological causes ruled out as a link
*** Diary index ***
Saw a consultant neurologist
Saw two doctors in the morning and a neurology consultant in the afternoon. The HSP link has been ruled out so it's just a case of monitoring my condition for the moment.
(The bladder can sometimes be an issue with HSP sufferers, but as I mentioned yesterday this generally progresses over ten years to reach the state I'm in, so has been ruled out as the cause).
My blood pressure is still uncomfortably high so they are going to double the dose of my amlodapine.
Visitors
Mum and Dad visited in the afternoon - with a Starbucks iced coffee. Mmmmm, banned substances. Actually it tasted just the same as iced coffee Louise carried up from Liverpool Station the other day, but it was nice just the same.
Coffee is potassium rich too, so the dietician has limited that to one cup a day. Kill me now!
