Introduction

Here's a few other small websites / test sites I've put together for exams, by way of experimentation, or more often lately, as favours for friends, relative and, if the mood suits me, strangers!

If you would like a web site designing my me, just ask… If I'm in the right mood I'll do it for free, if for no other reason than putting it in my growing portfolio.

This is rather dated mind, but I might get round to listing all the other sites I do another day.

These are my other sites:

• Ackadia.co.uk
  WAS holding site for NDS, should I ever be well enough to work again. I plan(need) to use it for a (global) computer trade database, covering vendors, distributors and VAR's etc, etc
  The domain lapsed and got snapped up before I realised. Ah well!
  
• Homerloan
  A 'play domain' I registered - This domain (was) for sale! It was also the one I played with code and such on, as the mood takes me, and as time allows. I let it go a few years back. Nearly to say someone else took it later.

  An online computer store I mocked up for a City and Guilds III exam.

Websites I've written for friends and relatives, or just because I was asked!

• Rick & Michelle's wedding
  I actually thought up the domain name as our Michelle uses Shell as her nickname, so I figured, 'Rick Shell .com'   It can also be interpreted as 'Rick's Hell' as he's married - but they thought it was hilarious.   Includes a wedding gallery of all the pictures from the day.
  
  
• French Apartment
  Another website for a friend. Her brother owns apartments in the south of France for rent to holiday makers. I saw the 'professional' one they had paid for, should my head sadly, and am making a proper one for them!
  Quite fun really because, as well as designing it and going to town on promotion, I will also be helping translate it into several languages, including, I believe, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

  The one they paid for is, in my opinion, amateurish at best. See if you agree with me, but I think this ( franceholidayrental.co.uk ) is disgraceful from a web-design 'expert'. I utterly destroyed them in search engine ranking too, and I did mine for free as a favour. Ha! I told them to get their money back myself, but they are settling with having him work on it to get it right. Ah well.

  Sketch Inks ~ Sketchings.   Catchy eh!  
  Helping a friend, Elaine, with her first domain. She let is lapse and it's just another MFA / traffic directing site now. An alternative layout can be seen here: (hmm, missing files. I'll sorted it another day.)

Websites for Joe at M4-Marketing

Joe often drives me mental, but he's one of the few true friends I have, so when he asks, I roll them out for him. I just wish he'd listen to me more often - and sign the darn forms to do eCommerce 'properly'.

• M4 Marketing
  They are often found at big venues like the Ideal Home Show
  The main site, primarily marketing digital cameras and speed detectors, at present.
  
  (E-bay style auction and Thwaites authenticated SSL e-commerce site in progress July 2004).

• Toilet Humour .biz
  His latest venture of humourous, even risky custom made t-shirts. Could be a winner if he makes the effort. Some of the slogans I've seen are hilarious, but it has been pointed out that I have a warped sense of humour.

• SpeedtrapFinder and AstroSell
  (Test e-commerce site using eCommerce package AstroSell. Blah!).

  Articles on Speedtrap finders, radar guns etc, and the law.
  
  
• MagnoWear
  Marketing site for magnetic and homeopathic jewellery etc
  eCommerce using OsCommerce.
  
  
• NisisCamera
  Promotional site for Nisis DV4 digital camera's.
  Was rather popular during the time
  
  
• DVDigiCam
  For 4 megapixel pocket camera, camcorders.
  
  
• Extreme Camera
  Intended for the DV5, never used, yet.
  
  
• Light Arted
  Promotional site for their range of framed photographs and paintings, highlighted with tiny lights.
  
  
• DesignStudio
  Design company I'm helping with the web editing, run my Chris, Joe's son-in-law
  
  
• Regplate UK
  I needed to design a website as part of a HNC course so put this together for a friend. (Joe)

  Most folk would be kicking your door down at the chance of a free website design - complete with secure online ordering and updates.
  *Shrugs again*
  Other folk pay hundreds a year to get a domain and server space with full cgi and asp support - then do nothing with it. What gets me is he's been doing this for about five years! (More now). I dunno! It's since died.
  
  I can't actually remember when I did this, but it was rather a long time ago. He's finally (just about) getting his act together! See above.
